Stavby School is a small school located about 30 km from Uppsala with approximately 140 students in grades F-9, along with an after-school program. The school is beautifully situated close to nature and has good bus connections. You will be part of a flexible and professional teaching team that focuses on the students. Our ambition is to create a favorable environment for personal and social development through good pedagogy, high expectations, participation, and collaboration with guardians. We have a fully developed student health team and work extensively with values and safety.

Job Description

As a teacher in this position, you will primarily teach Science and Technology. The position includes mentorship in grade 7. You will have the opportunity to make a difference for our students by contributing your skills, knowledge, and commitment to help the school achieve its goals with the student at the center. You will plan, implement, evaluate, and develop the educational work according to the curriculum and other governing documents. You will have close and continuous communication with guardians.

We strive for collegial learning where you, in close collaboration with your colleagues, develop the operations. Together, you work to ensure that all students thrive and develop based on their individual circumstances.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a Swedish teaching license or someone awaiting certification with the authority to teach Science and Technology in grades 7-9. To succeed in this role, you need to have a good understanding of the school's governing documents as well as the primary school's curriculum. The work requires good oral and written skills in Swedish.

We would like you to be qualified to teach mathematics in grades 7-9. If you have IT skills with a focus on educational work, that is considered an advantage.

As a person, you are pedagogical and have an understanding of people's different abilities to absorb knowledge. You take initiative and start activities to achieve results. The job suits you if you are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances.
